Technological and scientific cooperation between Israeli and foreign companies have been found to be mutually beneficial far beyond that of the specific development involved. Experience ha shown that many important business ties have begun through these cooperative ventures.
The government of Israel has signed a number of bilateral R&D cooperation agreements with foreign governments and the European Union in order to encourage contacts between Israel and overseas companies to facilitate joint ventures in R&D, manufacturing and marketing.
Israel is an associated member state in the European Framework program and a full member in the Eureka program.
